Wahrscheinlich hat jeder Mensch seine schöpferische Aufgabe im Leben. Sie schlummert in ihm wie der Same einer schönen Blume. Es ist Aufgabe der Erziehung, das Wachsen dieser Pflanze zu fördern. Aus diesem Grund vergleicht Pestalozzi den Erzieher mit einem Gärtner.
Aber dieser Vergleich trifft nicht zu. Im Gegensatz zu einem Gärtner weiß ein Erzieher nicht, zu was sich ein kleines Wesen entwickeln wird. Jedes Wesen muss dieses Rätsel lösen.

Every person probably has his creative job in the life. It slumbers in him like the seed of a nice flower. It is a job of the education to promote the wax of this plant. That's why Pestalozzi compares the educator to a gardener.
